Searching for alternative way for Windows 10 free upgrade

Microsoft did offer Windows 10 free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1 user but I missed that window that ended on 29th July 2016.
Searching for alternative way for Windows 10 free upgrade, it brought me to a few page saying that the free upgrade is still possible now (end Dec 2016) by accessing this page ()I tried to click on the “UPGRADE NOW” button and it started a file download to my PC.

The filename is “Windows10Upgrade24070.exe”

After executing that file, to my surprise, it seems like the upgrade is running.
So.

For those that still having Windows 7 or Windows 8 and wanna upgrade to Windows 10

you can give a try to this.
